Theatre, Culture & IconIc LanDmarks
The hotel’s immediate neighbours are some of the most culturally significant buildings in London. St Martin’s Theatre, home to Agatha Christie’s Mousetrap, the world’s longest-running show, is visible from the front door. A short walk in any direction reaches the National Gallery on Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden Piazza with its street performers and historic market halls, and Somerset House on the Strand, which hosts exhibitions and events year-round.
the neighbourhoods
Seven Dials is a two-minute walk, a charming junction of seven converging streets lined with boutique stores, independent restaurants, and neighbourhood pubs. Neal’s Yard is tucked just behind it: a small, colourful courtyard that remains one of the city’s best-kept secrets for coffee, wellness and independent shops. Soho begins within a five-minute walk to the west, bringing its own energy with independent restaurants, cocktail bars, live music venues and late-night energy that makes it the centre of London nightlife. Fitzrovia, just north of Soho, offers a quieter alternative with stylish cafés and creative spaces.
The river & south bank
The Thames is a 15-minute walk south through some of the city’s grandest streets. The Victoria Embankment runs along the north bank, one of the best walks in central London for those who want to clear their head and see the city at its most dramatic. Cross Waterloo Bridge for the South Bank: the London Eye, Royal Festival Hall, Tate Modern and Borough Market all sit along this stretch of river. The views back across to the City of London skyline make this walk worth doing at any time of day.

DINING & NIGHTLIFE
The restaurant density around St Martins Lane is exceptional. Covent Garden and the surrounding streets run from pre-theatre prix fixe menus to serious standalone dining destinations, and the streets of Soho a five-minute walk west add depth to every cuisine imaginable.
For drinking, the bars of St Martin’s Lane itself, the hidden pub courtyards of Seven Dials, and the cocktail bars of Soho offer options from early evening through to late night. Leicester Square brings cinemas, clubs and the city’s entertainment strip for those who want to stay out longer.
SHOPPING
Covent Garden and Seven Dials combine global brands with British designers and independent boutiques — some of London’s most interesting retail is within walking distance. For major flagship shopping, Regent Street and Oxford Street are a 10-minute walk north.
